Wal-Mart AND Workers

Using ideas from the readings as well as your own experience as a Wal-Mart shopper, write a post about how you see the compromise between low prices for consumers and low wages for employees. Is this a fair trade off? Some people can't afford to shop anywhere else, and on black friday we will see the hordes of people waiting to get the best deals. Will you be there, too? Why or why not?

Wal-Mart is well-know retail market in America as well as all over the world.
Cheap Price is the most fascinate advantage of Wal-Mart.  
And Consumers are really satisfied with their cheap price.

The experience that i ever visited wal-mart is only one time.
There is no Wal-mart in South Korea, and  I am used to go Target rather than Wal-mart. 
When i asked my friends "What is the reason that you want to go Walmart?", she said me

                         "CHEAP PRICE. The best good deal in there!!! "

But, When i got into Wal-mart, there is so messy. Some products are damaged, crumbled boxes.
It is also hard to find workers when i want to ask them or i do not know where are products.
                                         I was so disappointed Wal-mart.

Additionally, there are many unfair happens for workers such as work hard and lower wages.
Although Wal-mart is huge and beneficial market, they offer unfair treats for workers.
Many workers, who work at Wal-mart, are worried about their retirements, and they often get a second job.
There are not many workers who can take insurances and over minimum wage. 
Many workers get under minimum wages, that can make them hard to live.

The lower income make people hard to live, and they typically wait the Black Friday.
Personally, I think the Black Friday is really American culture.
Some economists said, "American Economy  created from Black Friday to new year for one month."
This is because, many people, who can not afford to buy in their life, wait the best deal, the marketing of Black Friday.
It is true sometimes there are similar sale percentage compared with before thanks giving period. 

The markertng approach of huge companies make people to but what these firms want to.
Sometimes, consumers are controlled under markets.
  

American Dream

Many people were used to listen fantasy stories of American Dream, particular those lived in poor countries.

The fantasy story typically is about some men who immigrated America only bring necessary things,  

they worked hard then finally became rich, such as owners of companies or higher incomes.  

However, these stories had already passed, that were happen only in the first generation of American Dream.

American markets already fulled with immigrant workers, it is even hard to get their jobs for American nationals.

It looks that there are no considerable spaces for immigrants.

The concept of American dream is different from the first period; not every immigrant can not change their life 

fantastic.

Although this kind of reality is true, government open their market to immigrants as if there are a lot of 

opportunities to become success in the United States.

Corporations use the concept of American dream to force people into submission.

The government motivate people to move America, but they do not care immigrants after they move to here.

 Question 1 


 Did you have had or your family members have had?

 How were you treated? 


  I worked at coffee shop as a cashier and barista, make coffee and beverages.

 So I did not have many experiences contacting with customer as  much like restaurant 

 waitress.

     Also in my country South Korea, we do not have to pay tips.

 The price of food and all products already include their tax and tips. 

 So, workers do not have to pay attention not that much like American worker who could

 receive tips in their place.

   In the book , they say i say, author says that restaurant workers could study human behavior. 

Because customers visit to get their different purpose, and if worker make customers 

satisfied, they can get more tips! At this reasons, the hard work place need both body

and brain.


      
  

 Question 2 

Did your education level matter?

Until now, I am student. So It is not serious matter to me not yet.

I want to say "NOT YET" However, when it comes to graduate from university,

It should be problem to me and my friends.

Every society want to get a smart and superior person.

If two  person who high school graduated and university graduated  apply at the same

to the same company, the company would want to get university graduates person.

The reason why company want to get a high educated person,

 even though they work  ineffective  than low educated people.

Many company think that the education level is important factor to choose employee.

 One day, I should face this platitude stereotype and prejudice.  

 Question 3 

 Do you think that the level of education a worker has should

 determine the respect and pay that worker receives?

  I think that, it is less likely to pay more money to low educated person.

  It is paradox, actually In my opinion, I do not want the gap of education level badly.

  BUT, people who studied more, they put their effort on study for their good jobs.

  Candidates who graduated university and college spend more time and money

 for getting their degree. And society are responsible to reward them as a high salary

but not hard work. Because they want to get nice job not hard work.
